Have you ever been at work and been hit by the hungry stick? I guess that would be a stupid question, but that's what this is about. It happens to me all the time and I can't just leave to get something to eat. One of the most effective things I have tried is to bring a few nutritional bars to work with me. When the blood sugar gets low, a sugar fix can help but the crash is worse than you were before and it always comes before the end of the day. All I do is grab one of my water bottles and a bar. It takes care of the hunger and lasts the rest of the day. Along with some carbs for a quick jolt there are tons of vitamins and a good amount of protein for long term energy. I like to get a few different kinds and flavors so I don't get sick of one kind. Try it out, it's alot better than a candy bar or bag of chips. |
