Can you dance? You can experience weight loss with a hip hop workout routine. My local gym recently offered a new aerobics class called Hip Hop. Of course I had heard of hip hop before but had no idea what an aerobics class involving this type of dance would be like, so I had to try it. I have found weight loss and a new passion!

The high energy hip hop workout has forced me to use my body in different ways than I am accustomed to. A typical hip hop class starts with a warm up. It moves you all directions and incorporates big movements like slides and hops then it slows down for a brief stretch. The format is an add on combination deal, movements are repeated frequently. I quickly learned the patterns, was able to keep up with the rest of the class and let me tell you, I began to sweat a lot! Hence the weight loss!

After a hip hop workout I feel absolutely great! I leave with a sense of achievement, my mood is elevated and the smile on my face is infectious. There really is nothing better than enjoying the intense workout that is helping you with your weight loss goals. Go for it!
