weight loss, nutritional supplementsMy attitude to weight loss differs from that of some women. First of all I think that women were meant to be curvaceous so I’d never go on one of those ridiculous weight loss diets in order to shrink down to a size zero. I can understand why those women who are a lot heavier than they should be go on weight loss diets in order to protect their health and feel a little more self-confident but I will never advocate fads or dangerous diet pills.
I believe that the best weight loss plan includes a healthy well balanced diet that comprises all essential nutrients and food groups combined with regular exercise. The trick is to burn more calories each day than you consume, there is no need to cut out certain food groups or subsist on a diet of water mixed with maple syrup for two weeks. In fact if you are losing weight at a rate faster than two pounds per week you are wasting your time because you will gain it all back once you stop dieting.
Healthy weight loss involves a change of lifestyle in which you don’t eat more than you require and you make exercise a regular part of your routine. However I don’t see anything wrong with taking nutritional supplements that may augment weight loss efforts. For instance antioxidant rich supplements can speed up the metabolic rate and provide energy to make weight loss that little bit easier.
